Trauma Lab Update Log — v1.19, v1.20, and the Devlog

Trauma Lab What's New panel listing version 1.19, captured 2026-10-23.
Trauma Lab v1.19 announcement art published on itch.io.

I opened What’s New inside v1.19 and scrolled a list of 44 version lines, from v1.19 back to v0.12. The panel gives an order, not a date on each line. The only dated posts outside the game are the itch.io release stamp, the 21 October 2026 lag devlog, and the 22 October 2026 “last updated” stamp. I am not assigning dates to v1.07 through v1.18.

Dated anchors

20 October 2026, 15:06 UTC: the itch.io page’s published time. 21 October 2026: the only devlog, titled Lag issue, which says to lower the gore level. 22 October 2026, 16:44 UTC: the page’s last-updated time, with public files at v1.19. The v1.19 art says the free version jumped from v1.06 to v1.19. That matches a gap, and it does not fill in what each missing number contained.

The download page lists Supporter-Playtest-newest v1.20 at 1.8 MB for $5. The in-game supporter button still said Coming soon during the 23 October session. No public changelog describes v1.20, so this page does not invent its changes.

What v1.19 says it changed

The in-game notes for v1.19 describe a rebuilt Story mode with three rooms: cell, storage, and security. Guards have organs, bleeding, soft armor, and real wounds. The player can turn around. Movement, crouch, and prone were redone. The gun rests low. Cover, bound to Q, hides behind a steel box. The knife uses Fire to stab. A sentry sweeps a red beam. Birdshot is about 5 joules a pellet: shallow, and still dangerous up close.

  • v1.18: hit labels can be turned off.
  • v1.17: classic HUD returns; phone work per frame was cut roughly in half.
  • v1.16: subject, phone HUD, scene, and weapons redrawn.
  • v1.15: laboratory lighting pass.
  • v1.13: physical cover, kicking, and a medical view. v1.12: run, jump, crouch, and dual-stick phone controls.
  • v1.11: first Story prototype. v0.36: anatomy and damage. v0.12: foundations.

Questions

Is v1.20 the public version?

No. Public files and the What’s New header say v1.19. v1.20 is the supporter file name only.

When did v1.10 come out?

The build does not date individual lines. Only the itch.io stamps and the one devlog have dates.
