Trauma Lab Controls and How to Play
I read the in-game How to Play panel on the v1.19 embed, then checked it against the build’s tool list. The panel is the only manual. There is no separate PDF. The notes below are that panel plus keys the build exposes, captured 23 October 2026. In Sandbox, W A S D pans the camera. In the Story prototype those same keys walk. Do not mix the two.
Camera, tools, and keys
Pick a category along the bottom: Hand, Weapons, Props, Medicine, Powers. Choose a tool, or type in the search box, then click or drag it onto the body. A strip above the categories describes the current tool. The right edge keeps recent tools.
Scroll to zoom. Hold the middle mouse button, or use W A S D in Sandbox, to move the view. Side, Front, and Back sit on the right. The square fit button, also bound to 0, frames the body again. Minus resets. F11 is the fullscreen shortcut mentioned in the comments, and the keys can be rebound in Options.
- 1 through 5 switch categories. Q and E step through tools. Tab opens the tool menu.
- Space pauses. X toggles X-ray. V changes the view.
- Top row: Menu, X-ray, Paths, Slow, Pause, Fast, Sound, Beep, Monitor, Chart, Reset, Help.
- Ammo types on firearms: FMJ, hollow point, AP, fragmenting.
Watching him and treating him
The top monitor shows heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen, and blood volume. X-ray shows organs, bones, and vessels. Chart lists every wound. Medicine holds bandages, a tourniquet, stitches, surgery, drugs, and a defibrillator.
Surgery mode is on the menu and in Options. Simple completes the operation. Complex makes you work the scalpel, saw, clamps, sutures, and organ removal, and an injection has to enter a real vein or muscle. The v1.19 build lists 107 tools and items. The category counts are on the tools page.
Gore level
Options lists Mild, Realistic, Heavy, and Extreme. A one-time migration in the v1.19 build sets the first run to Extreme. The only devlog, Lag issue, dated 21 October 2026, says to lower the gore level in the options menu when the game stalls. That is the whole post.
Questions
How do I put the patient to sleep?
The developer’s reply on itch.io names Ketamine. The drug list also includes Midazolam for sedation.
How do I go fullscreen?
F11, according to the itch.io comments, or the fullscreen control inside the build. Keys can be changed in Options.
