Trauma Lab Comparisons and Similar Games
I only needed a short table here. The long write-ups are the two pages linked below. While checking Steam I kept the store region in view, because the prices I saw were in Singapore dollars, not a worldwide price.
At a glance
Nothing in the set is a clone. People Playground is the closest: a ragdoll sandbox with insides, blood, and an ECG, but it is 2D, paid, and built around mods. Melon Sandbox is the phone-side ragdoll toy, cartoon and ad-supported. Surgeon Simulator 2 is a comedy operation, not an anatomy sandbox. Trauma Center is a 2005 story of touch-screen surgery and is a different game that searchers mix up with this title.
I did not play those four games for this hub. The prices and review counts live on the longer page, with the store region written next to them. Trauma Lab’s own side of the comparison is the v1.19 build: free, single-player, browser plus a Windows HTML file and an Android APK, with a locked Story prototype. If a later public build adds multiplayer or a Steam app, this table has to change with a new check date rather than a guess.
| Game | Closest idea | Not the same because |
|---|---|---|
| People Playground | Ragdoll sandbox with organs | 2D, Steam, paid, mods |
| Melon Sandbox | Phone ragdoll sandbox | Cartoon, ads, no layered anatomy |
| Surgeon Simulator 2 | Physics surgery | Comedy levels, not a sandbox |
| Trauma Center | Medical theme | DS/Wii story, 2005, not this game |
Questions
Which game is the closest?
People Playground, for the ragdoll-plus-insides sandbox. It is still a different, paid, 2D game.
Is Trauma Center the same series?
No. Trauma Center is Atlus, starting on the Nintendo DS in 2005.
